The old, battered folder made of faded purple paper was very nearly sent to the dump. It was found in the summer home of a deceased gentleman who had been a magazine editor. The people charged with cleaning out the premises saved the portfolio and sold it to a dealer in prints.
Inside it were six mounted photographs and one duplicate, all the work of the noted American photographer and teacher Clarence H. White.
